Misty Hills Day Tour

Departure time : 7.00AM
Place of Departure : Colombo/Negombo
Destination : Varies on your choice

Can Include the below places!

1 : Nuwara Eliya

To Nuwara Eliya (south of Kandy) – the former British Tea Planter’s capital – including the Ramboda water fall, visit to a working Tea factory and a city sightseeing drive around, including the traditional old British “Hill Club”.

Nuwara Eliya can be reached from Colombo via Kandy, which is the gateway to the Central Highlands of the island. Colombo-Kandy-Nuwara Eliya is the most scenic highland motor road of Sri Lanka. Though the city of Nuwara Eliya has no Railway station, the highland railway line that winds past the city of Nanu Oya makes the journey by train one of the most scenic and memorable experiences. The journey to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy by train as well as by car is equally spectacular. The alternative route to Nuwara Eliya from Colombo is via Hatton which is located in the southern area of the Central Highlands.

2 : White River Rafting

Full day to Kitulgala for “White River Rafting” – long day! (west of Kandy).

Kitulgala is located about 80 kilometres from Colombo on the A7 main road that runs to Nuwara Eliya via Avissawella. Kitulgala is a pleasant town set amidst green hills thick with tropical vegetation. The name Kitulgala itself is derived from the Kitul palm tree, groves of which are abound in the expanses. Kitul sap is concentrated and then crystallized to produce jaggery. Kitul sap is also fermented to make palm wine.

3 : Mahiyanganaya

Visit the ancient, aboriginal “Wedda” peoples in their Reservation, passing breathtaking scenery along the Victoria dam and with time at one of the island’s most celebrated Buddhist Temple shrines in Mahiyanganaya (East of Kandy).
